In another nut-tastic health study conducted by Harvard and Fudan University, participants who substituted a portion of their red meat consumption with nuts had a reduced risk of dying earlier than those who did not. Even when compared to vegetables and whole grains, the study found that eating nuts increased the probable lifespan the most!
Another big contributor to living longer is being optimistic! In the cited study, optimistic people had a substantially lower (relative) risk of cardiovascular problems over a 14-year period than pessimistic people.
